Stable Flys High at Caloundra

Sep 28, 2015

The stable had a successful night at Caloundra on Friday with two winners from three starters.

First cab off the rank was Sentimental Prince in race one, who put it all together after racing greenly at his first two runs.

The Time Thief three year old raced by long time stable clients Hobby Horse Hall proved too good for the much fancied Agree To and Tabert storming home to win by half a length for Michael Hellyer.

He was purchased for just $2,500 from last year’s Magic Millions Horses in Training Sale as Sean Tomlinson was concerned he could end up at the knacker’s yard.

Sentimental Prince has certainly repaid his kind hearted owner and looked like that was the first of more victories.

In the second race Motion Granted made it back to back wins after being unlucky not to break his maiden earlier.

Ridden by Cassie Schmidt the pair took a sit after the speed went on early before sneaking along the rail to win.

Motion Granted races in the same colours as Sentimental Prince and is owned by his breeders Rum Dum Ltd.

Peppa Jelly was unlucky not to finish the night on a winning note after getting held up in the straight, the Duke of Marmalade mare came home fast to run third.
