Sony Legend salutes in easy fashion

Jun 05, 2014

Hard Spun gelding Sony Legend has won on debut in very impressive style cantering home by over three lengths in the $10,000 Glen Archer Butchery Maiden Plate (1006m).

Having finished a close up third in a public barrier trial at Doomben on May 13, Sony Legend was sent around a $1.70 favorite with Maija Vance to ride from barrier two. The instructions were simple and the three-year-old led all the way defeating Malibu Woo Woo and Fuchsia.

From the unraced Peintre Celebre mare Lasers the horse was purchased at the 2012 Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $32,000.

Connections look to be in store for many more wins with Sony Legend.
